Marion County Commissioner Patti Milne

Patti Milne served in the Oregon State Legislature from 1993 through 1998 before taking office as Marion County Commissioner in 1999. At the legislature, she chaired the House Human Resources Committee and the Subcommittee on Education, chaired the Task Force on Hispanic and Migrant Affairs, and served as Majority Whip in 1995 and was a member of the Oregon Commission for Child Care and of the Task Force on the Juvenile Court System and Juvenile Delinquency.

Patti was also elected to the Woodburn School District Board of Directors, serving from 1988-1992 and has served on several local boards including the Marion County Education Service District Budget Committee and acting as co-chair of the Law Enforcement Committee of the Community Gang Forum.

Her community service has included membership in the Woodburn Rotary Club and Woodburn Chamber of Commerce, being on advisory committees to St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Woodburn and St. Joseph's Shelter in Mt. Angel, and being a member of the boards of directors for the Blanchet School and the Willamette Valley Hospice in Salem.

Patti and her husband Stan have three children and two grandchildren.
